I don't read book reviews :: Splendid Suns, is it as good?

I don't do book reviews.
I don't really do much research. I just say what comes form my heart and based on what little I know. I'm not the best read person, nor do I have the most eloquent praise. I do however have a personality and that's what I'm bringing to the table.

So - with my semi-apology and semi-justification out of the way. I wanna talk about the most Tamara-anticipated novel of 2007-(now 2008). Can it be as good as The Kite Runner? Can Khaled Housseini pull out another classic? Or is it a one-hit-wonder?

I have no idea, I won't read reviews. It ruins the book. Besides, we don't all have the same opinion. I like to think I walk to the beat of my own drummer when it comes to opinions. Anyhow, I say the Kite Runner kicked ass and now I need to know, is A Thousand Splendid Suns as good?

Ok, I got the book as a present and I'm starting it.

UPDATE:Oh my God, I'm just one chapter in and I can already tell this is going to be a GREAT book! My heart is already aching for the heroine and I can't wait to see what happens next.
