Ok, Bali is just 10 weeks away so I've started looked at a few hotels to stay at.
I've discovered that this website (Asiarooms.com) allows you to book hotel rooms for cheaper than the posted price on the actual hotel websites.
I've found some that look pretty good and are relatively cheap. In the coming weeks I'll be cross referencing them with the Bali & Lombok Lonely Planet Travel Guide. However we'll probably be booking the Aneka Hotel in Kuta Beach Bali for the first 3 days. It's just $33 a night!! But, if you're booking this hotel, book with http://www.asiarooms.com because it's cheaper** all prices are in US $, but $33 US is $33.80 CDN
After the initial 3 nights stay we're going to wing it and choose hotels when we get to our destinations. But, it doesn't hurt to research so you have a reference hotel if need be. Plus, who doesn't like to research their 3 week vacations in Bali anyway?
We'll then be heading to Ubud and the Monkey Sanctuary and maybe stay at the Yulia Village Inn. It cost $39 per night on asiarooms.com (I still think it will be cheaper to stay when we get there than booking online, especially since this will be the start of the rainy season).
Our friends who are doing their honeymoon and want to spend some serious cash on having a good time are thinking of Istaying at this luxury place in Ubud for 2 nights of chillin and you know what else!
It looks soooooo nice, I wish I was born rich and could stay too:Ubud Hanging Gardens Orient Express Hotel
Maybe then we'll head north and stay in the Northern part of Bali at this hotel (Oneka Bagus) for $36 a night. It's suppose to be the best for diving.
Lastly, we'll probably fly to the Borbodor on Yogyakarta and stay at the Duta Garden Hotel for only $34 a night.
Bali schedule so far:
- 3 nights in Kuta - $99
- 3 nights in Ubud - $117
- 5 nights in Northern Bali $195
- 4 nights in Yogyakarta - $34
15 nights so far for $547. We would just need another 5 nights somewhere else and I honestly think it may be cheaper to just walk-in rather than book online.
I was looking at hotels in Lovina Beach but some of the reviews were a bit crap, saying the beach is shitty, but they have dolphins there, which would be sooo cool!
Wow! That first picture is amazing!
